ABOUT ME
Welcome friends
It’s been an amazing journey.
My mother and father fled communism in Poland with my brother and me in their arms when I was a 2 year old. We were welcomed with open arms in Canada and started our new, Canadian life in Oshawa Ontario.
After a typical childhood filled with energetic play, focussed study and lazy summers, I was off to University. I graduated with an Honours BA in Anthropology from York University.
After graduation, I travelled, returning to Europe and drove through the US. While I was living in Toronto, I worked as a bartender in one of the city’s busiest pubs in the heart of the downtown core.
In 2006, I felt the west coast calling me and I hopped on a plane and moved to Vancouver. During the week, I worked for VanCity and spent my weekends exploring the city and surrounding areas. I got married, became a mom to 2 kids and moved to Maple Ridge. What was supposed to be a temporary 5 year adventure has become a permanent move to a community I have truly come to love.
It’s been an amazing journey … and it’s just beginning!
